The IPA secretariat staff support the IPA by:
- Developing and controlling association budgets and costs
- Developing effective communications between the IPA and government/ third party organizations.
- Coordinating the annual IPA Convention and Exhibition
- Supporting the IPA Board through organizing meetings and events
- Managing the IPA website
- Supporting the IPA Committees
- Liaising with and responding to the media
